Claudia Norz | Baroque violin

Claudia Norz, baroque violin was born in Tyrol and started to play the recorder before her parents gave in to her demands to learn the violin. After graduating from the University Mozarteum in Innsbruck in 2010, Claudia moved to Londonand studied baroque violin with Walter Reiter and Elizabeth Wallfish at the Royal Academy of Music from where she graduated with distinction.She was selected to be a member of the European Union Baroque Orchestra 2012, Ambronay Baroque Academy 2013 and The Ann and Peter Law OAE Experience 2015.Claudia regularly performs with groups such as OAE, La Serenissima, Classical Opera and her own ensemble klingzeug.

Anna Tausch | Baroque cello

Anna Tausch, baroque cello studied Baroque Cello with Kristin von der Goltz in Munich, Markus Möllenbeck in Berlinand Claire Pottinger – Schmidt in Linz, Modern Cello and Recorder with Michael Hell and Ernst Kubitschek in Innsbruck. She finished all studies with distinction. Among projects with her ensemble klingzeug she has performed with Münchner Barocksolisten, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, La Banda, Concerto Stella Matutina, Radio Antiqua, Dianthus Ensemble and others and played orchestral projects with Attilio Cremonesi and Ton Koopman.

Anna's homebase is Innsbruck, where she lives with her family. She is also teaching cello and recorder.

Sofie Thorsbro Dan | Violin

Danish violinist Sofie Thorsbro Dan lives in Holstebro (DK) and performs throughout Europe as an interpreter of contemporary music.

She was educated from The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus with Emile Cantor and Michelle Makarski, at The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Ernst Kovacic and at The University of Music and Performing Arts Graz from where she graduated with a Master’s Degree in “Performance Pratice in Contemporary Music” with Klangforum Wien in 2015.

Sofie Thorsbro Dan is regularly invited to renowned festivals and scenes for contemporary music and has played in venues such as Wiener Konzerthaus, Lucerne Concert Hall, Berliner Philharmonie, Wien Modern, Klangspuren Schwaz, Salzburger Festspiele and has worked with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Simon Steen-Andersen, Beat Furrer and Georg Friedrich Haas. 

Sofie is an active member of the Black Page Orchestra, the Lucerne Festival Alumni and Curious Chamber Players of Sweden. 

In 2022 she founded The Danish New Music Academy together with composer James Black, Saxophon player Anja Nedremo and pianist Fei Nie. More info: www.danishnewmusicacademy.org/

Barbara Riccabona | Cello

Cellist Barbara Riccabona lives in Vienna and performs internationally as an interpreter of contemporary music.

She studied at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg under Heidi Litschauer, Dana Micicoi and Susanne Riebl, graduating with honours in 2006. She spent one year studying at the Musikhögskolan in Malmö, as part of the Erasmus exchange programme, before pursuing a Master of Arts in Violoncello at the Musikhochschulen in Frankfurt and in Stuttgart under Conradin Brotbek where she graduated with the highest grade in 2010.
As a performer of contemporary music she has worked with important ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, Ensemble PHACE, Ensemble Wiener Collage and in various chamber music formations at Festivals such as Wien Modern, Wiener Festwochen, Salzburger Festspiele, Münchner Opernfestspiele, Internationale Sommerakademie Salzburg, Impuls Festival, John Cage Festival Waiblingen among others.
She has worked with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg and conductors such as Kent Nagano, Johannes Kalitzke, Ingo Metzmacher and Ivan Fischer.
